'The family is so welcoming and look after me really well.' Ceri Broussine 2007
Volunteers are usually placed with a family on their own, although other Oyster volunteers
will be close by.
This is challenging at first but works well in practice and is fantastic for your Spanish. Your Chilean hosts will welcome you and hopefully be friends for life by the end of your placement.
You will receive breakfast, lunch and dinner (a minimal affair in Chile) from your host family. At weekends you may well want to visit other volunteers or organize a short trek, a mountain bike ride, or just relax and recover from a hard week of Spanish speaking and teaching.
