The programme includes a three-day expedition camping out in the beautiful and pristine Patagonian landscape. We also run a specifically tailored intensive 10 day Spanish course to prepare you for living in a Spanish-speaking environment. If you do not speak Spanish now, you must be committed to learning some before departure. After the Spanish course you will live with a Chilean family, improving your Spanish and enjoying Chilean culture.

'I loved the fact that my school was so interested in us and our lives and really helped and encouraged us with our shaky Spanish.' Emma Ingram 2004

We will place you as a volunteer in one of our selected primary and secondary schools and you will have the option to live in or out of town. Typically, you will find yourself assisting the English teacher until you feel confident enough to take on a class of your own. Hard work and the ability to project your personality will be essential.

'I am teaching in 2 schools, one is a primary school and the other secondary. I absolutely love my classes with the little ones; whenever they see me they shout ´tia Ceri´ or 'aunty'. They are so energetic and are constantly tiring me out but they are an intelligent bunch and a joy to work with.' Ceri Broussine 2007
