Oyster now has opportunities to help with a range of interesting and worthwhile projects in the Laikipia region of Kenya.
It’s a beautiful and relatively unvisited part of Kenya, situated right on the equator. Conservation is high on the agenda, making it a great place to enjoy African wildlife and scenery. Our projects are based in or near Nanyuki, which nestles between the Aberdare mountains to the west and Mount Kenya to the east.
Those interested in working with children can provide much-needed help at local schools, a home for disabled children or a children’s home with Aids orphans and abandoned children in its care.
We also have opportunities for those with a strong interest in zoology, helping with research projects at a large nature reserve.
These projects will place you at the heart of the community and allow you to experience first hand the things that make Africa special – whether it’s the huge herds moving across the plain, the warmth and friendship of local people or that spellbinding moment when the enormous sun sets behind the mountains.
