The placements are in and around Brasov, a beautiful city surrounded by wooded mountains. The town has a wonderful mix of European architecture, a beautiful square and a lively nightlife and is a surprise highlight for many of our volunteers. Romania has stunning scenery, including mountains, good Ski slopes, forests and the Black Sea coastline. You will be living in a comfortable, central flat with the other volunteers.

Childcare project location-
We have placements in the centre of Brasov which you can walk to from your accommodation. We also have ‘family homes’ (orphanages) in a rural community setting which can be reached easily by local bus.

Bear sanctuary project location-

The sanctuary is a 25 minute drive from Brasov and you will travel each day with the other staff in the sanctuaries transport. The Sanctuary is overlooked by mountains and is a wonderful, tranquil place to work.
