Earn money in Whistler
Work hard, play hard
Outdoor & adventure activities
Overview
This brand new summer opportunity in Whistler, Canada will enable you to live and earn a living in this world famous resort for 10 weeks. Whistler is famous internationally for being an International Class Ski Resort. In fact, Whistler will be host to the Winter Olympics in 2010.
We have been sending people to work in Canada since 2000 for the winter seasons. The employers in Whistler have been so impressed with our participants that they have offered us jobs for the summer season.
During the summer, the resort becomes popular with holiday makers looking for outdoor and adventure activities such as Biking, Hiking, Summer Skiing, Golf, Climbing and Rafting to name but a few.
The work in Whistler is designed to be challenging but fun, the pay is good and the social life in Whistler is amazing!
The Work
We have a number of fantastic jobs available this summer. You could be serving customers in a bistro or shop, maintaining mountain bikes as a Bike Technician, or be a Ski Lift operator for access to biking and hiking trails.
All of the jobs pay well. You can expect to earn about C$9 per hour (almost £5 per hour - which goes a long way in Canada) and work about 5 days a week (depending on the when the resort is at its busiest).
During your time off there is lots to do. You can explore the valley by
bike or on foot on the Valley Trail, swim or play volleyball at the lake
beaches, or enjoy the summer patio scene in the village. Vancouver is only 2
hours by bus so there are plenty of opportunities to explore further
afield.
To qualify for the Canadian Working Visa you must be a UK or Irish student aged between 18 and 30 and have a valid police check. A 'student' is defined as someone who has evidence to show they are a full time student at university, who has graduated less than 12 months ago or who is taking up an unconditional place at university within the next 12 months.

Accommodation/meals
We will organise accommodation for you before you leave the UK. The accommodation is basic but comfortable, with a small kitchen, living room and a shared bedroom. You will need to pay for your accommodation but this is very reasonable and comes directly out of your pay. This equates to roughly 1hrs pay per day per night. You will be self catering, and will find plenty of local shops to buy food. Most participants treat themselves to a meal out once or twice a week. That depends on your budget!
