Oyster Reviews: Jasper Ski and Snowboard Instructor Course

The Oyster ski and snowboard instructor programme in Jasper began in January 2015. Check out our latest Oyster reviews here:

web 1“I had the best 3 months ever, Canada is definitely the place to spend your Gap Year! Best instructing I have ever received. Matt was truely amazing! Best instructor!”

web“On arrival and for the rest of the trip Jasper showed itself to be a thriving place where a lot happens almost all the time. Jasper itself, being such a varied and interesting place really made me come out of my cocoon and try new things and meet new people, which in my opinion is why one would go on such an outgoing course. One should be going to become a strong independent person who can deal with a new place like this. The skiing is just an amazing bonus!”

“I had an amazing time in Jasper. I gained both life experience and ski experience. Kayla (the rep) was excellent, so friendly and really fun!”

KarlAs a member of our first group in Jasper, Karl has some great feedback from his season:

On Jasper…¬†“Jasper¬†is lovely and I mean that in every aspect, the views, people, accommodation and just the place as a whole.”

On the ski conditions at Marmot Basin… “the ski quality is easily the most consistent and best quality in my 14 years of skiing and the fact that we practically have the mountain to ourselves just makes it all the better!”

On the training “Our instructor is the same guy who actually teaches the mountain’s ski instructors so we couldn’t be in a better position to achieve all our goals.”

Overall… “A great experience and I feel lucky to have taken part in it.”

Karl McDonald – January 2015
