Accommodation
Shared accommodation in a comfortable, eco-friendly volunteer house near the marine park and beaches.
Travel arrangements
Fly to Athens International Airport (ATH). You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation on Alonissos. Volunteers arrange their own return transfer to the airport.
Pre-departure briefing
You will receive thorough information on your account covering project expectations, preparation, health and safety, responsible travel, and arrival arrangements at least 4 weeks before departure.
Medical
Vaccinations may be required. Please consult your doctor or travel nurse to discuss what may be necessary for Greece.
Inform us of any pre-existing physical or mental health conditions; we may request a letter from your doctor before booking.

Insurance
You must take out a full travel insurance policy before departure, covering personal accident, medical, cancellation, emergency evacuation, and lost luggage. Organize your travel insurance as soon as your place is confirmed.
Any risk factors
Greece and Alonissos are considered safe destinations with very low crime rates. Petty theft is rare but possible—please take care of your belongings.
Listen attentively to safety briefings from dive instructors and project leaders, who are highly qualified. Weather and sea conditions are always assessed before activities.
Downtime
You’ll have free time in the evenings and on weekends to explore Alonissos independently. Inform staff about your plans and expected return times for your own safety.

The project can accommodate some minor physical disabilities. Please discuss your needs with our team before booking.
Financial Security
When you book with us, your payments are fully protected. If your booking includes flights arranged by us, your entire trip is ATOL-protected. If not, your payments are safeguarded by International Passenger Protection Ltd.
