Portugal volunteering is a popular choice for holidays with a difference and gap years. Here Oyster participants tell us about their Portugal volunteering experience on the food waste reduction project:
“Just a short note to say thanks for your help in organising the three week project for Alex in Estoril. He had a good time, learned a lot, made some friends and generally enjoyed it. On top of that, it is always great to be able to be part of a social enterprise project too. As [his father] I was a bit nervous beforehand (and during when he lost his phone and money) but your support both here and on the ground really helped. I hope this experience will benefit him if and when he goes to Uni and beyond. Hopefully he will go on another one next year.”
