Whistler Ski Season Jobs

Applications for 2024/5 open.

Experience the buzz of working in the heart of a busy snow school as a member of support staff for Whistler Kids, or as part of the mountain operations team. Depending on your experience, we have a variety of roles available. Choose from being a kitchen assistant, preparing meals for the students and instructors; work as a den master, or as an Outdoor Ranger supervising the outdoor play facilities.

Whether it’s your first time seeing snow or you were born on the slopes, joining our team means discovering (or re-discovering!) a passion for the outdoors while building lifelong connections with teammates and guests from around the world.

Bring games, laughter and fun to disadvantaged children in schools or nurseries in some of Port Elizabeth’s poorest townships. Your enthusiasm will encourage the kids to be passionate about their education and their future – these kids are desperate to learn, and your time as a volunteer will help not only with their studies, but their life chances too.

Why work with children?

Children are energetic, noisy and heaps of fun.  Spend your gap year working with children abroad and you will love every minute of it. Help children to grow in confidence, develop skills and most importantly, feel supported. We have many childcare programmes that are looking for enthusiastic childcare volunteers to help out. You can choose to spend your gap year volunteering abroad and work with vulnerable children around the world. This is a worthwhile way to spend any career break or gap year.

Alternatively, work abroad at a ski resort, complete a ski instructor course and teach on the nursery slopes.  Whatever you choose – you can guarantee there is no such thing as a dull day when working with children.

For more information about how we select our childcare programmes and support our volunteers, read our child protection and safeguarding policies. We have lots of child care volunteer opportunities and it would be great to get you involved.

You can also read more in our guide to volunteering with children.
