Costa Rica Turtle Conservation
A beach holiday with a difference! Spend your 2 week holiday helping to protect nesting turtles and their eggs along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The nesting season is between July and December, and volunteers are needed to ensure that the baby turtles make it safely to the sea.
Nepal Teach and Trek
Oyster has been sending volunteers to Nepal since 2000 and we are proud to have a great rep and great projects that make good use of volunteers for shorter periods of time. We have designed a great 5 week summer program (beginning early July) that takes in a 3 day Himalaya trek, white water rafting and a Chitwan safari as well as spending 4 weeks living in a local community teaching.
Romania Bears
Help rehabilitate brown bears at Eastern Europe’s largest bear sanctuary, home to over 50 bears, many of which will have been kept in horrific conditions before being rescued. Spend two weeks or more as a volunteer helping them to adjust to freedom in beautiful mountainous woodland near Brasov, in the heart of the stunning area of Transylvania.

Located close to the Garden Route, this project is perfect for 2 weeks as part of a longer tour of South Africa. Volunteer your time at an elephant sanctuary where you will get a real insight into the lives of these magnificent animals, helping with feeding, animal care and scientific research.
South Africa Lions Rock
Volunteer at the largest big cat Sanctuary in South Africa. Prepare food, run tours and monitor lions and other big cats as they play and interact with each other. LIONSROCK is a new home for big cats that have been abused, kept in cramped conditions or confiscated from hunters.
South Africa Monkeys
Nurture and protect orphaned and abused monkeys and baboons in this haven. Watch as they learn the ways of the wild and begin interacting with each other once again during their rehabilitation before being released.
South Africa Shark Conservation
